- The River Place Subdivision property was formerly one of the farms in the Troy area. The subdivision consists of 38 homes. The actual property was used to grow corn field among other things. The property was developed by Joseph Phillip Craig, who is known as one of the premier builders in the Troy area. Joe Craig is known for building exceptional houses as the home owners in our neighborhood will tell you. Many of the homes contain special details and features. Joe also developed the Orchards subdivision off of Adams between Long Lake and Square Lake. The homes were built in the time frame of 1989-1993.
Homeowners in the subdivision are very proud of their homes as evidenced by the superior landscaping and maintenance.
HOME OWNER COMMON AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
The River Place Home Owners Association is responsible for specific common areas within the subdivision to include:
Coolidge highway entrance to include lawn between the sidewalk and Coolidge (cutting and watering), the subdivision signs, landscaping, lights, and brick wall.
Cul-de-sac landscaping
Shared responsibility with other home owner associations for the retention pond at Wattles and Northfield Parkway.
Maintenance of Mail Boxes (not damage repairs).

The Troy School System is one of the the best school districts in the State and in the nation. The Troy Schools for homes within the subdivision are:
